A little about the Steele family and Racer's Resort... 
The Racer's Resort is a day care and boarding facility for Greyhounds and other breed dogs. Operated by the Steele family in Glendale Arizona we have over 17 years of Greyhound owner and dog care experience. Currently we have 2 retired racers, 4 Italian Greyhounds and 1 other family dog (small lab) at our residence. Your Greyhounds "brothers" and "sisters" are welcome as are other breed dogs that live with a Greyhound. Usually with a different breed we will require a quick pre-stay visit to see if the dog "gets along" with our resident and visiting Greyhounds. All dogs must be in good health, flea/tick free, friendly to all dogs, and generally love to play.
We now welcome other breeds (with exception's) into our home that do not live with a greyhound but must come for a pre-stay visit. Please contact us to see if we can care for your "other" breed of dog.
The Racer’s Resort will give the utmost care in watching your dog(s) however there are benefits and risks associated with this type of facility. Dogs that are socialized and well adjusted enjoy the freedom of not having to be in a cage, the companionship of the other dogs, and intermixing with our family within the home atmosphere. Dogs are given as many Turn Outs a day that are necessary and are never left unsupervised at any time without being crated for their safety.
We are also a foster home for three association's and at time's we may have the perfect greyhound for you. Please call us anytime and we will help you get in touch with one of the groups. Arizona Adopt A Greyhound, Greyhound Pets of America or Italian Greyhound Club of America. They are the best.
